Do you want a flawless skin? Absolutely yes. </p>

Everyone wants to have a perfect blemish free skin but not all are gifted with flawless skin as genes and skin care routines play an important role in the condition of the skin. It is also important to note that Asian skin type differ from their Western counterpart thus not all beauty products from the Western are effective when applied in Asian skin.

By nature, Asian skin is yellowish in tone due to excessive melanin in the skin, and this the reason why there are relative low number of skin cancers in the Asian countries, though the tone of yellow still varies from each region.

However, the downside of excessive melanin is pigmentation, age spots and freckles. You may observe that Asians may have lesser wrinkles but they are prone to hyper pigmentation and uneven skin tone especially when they reach aging.

Here are some skin conditions that are very common to Asians:

Hyper pigmentation: hyper pigmentation or much commonly known as dark spots is a common problem to Asians; this is due to excessive sun exposure. To ease the dark spots, a regular use of sunscreen is advised.

Skin dryness: Climate plays a role in skin dryness. During summer, the skin usually excretes too much oil but during the winter, skin glands excrete very minimal, thus resulting to skin dryness. To minimize skin dryness, a good moisturizer should be included in the skin regimen.

Acne: Asians like their other counterparts, are also prone to acne, and this is due to different factors like skin care, foods and climate. The best way to control acne is to have a regular good skin care regimen, eat foods good for the skin and use of regular exfoliants will help control acne.

Sensitive skin: Asians are noted for their sensitive skin compared to other regions. Though there factors that can cause sensitive skin like too much stress and even hormonal imbalance, it is recommended that products tested for Asian skin is a better choice than other beauty products.

Recommended skin care regimen for Asians:

  •  It is recommended that you wash your face with facial wash regularly. If your skin is sensitive, use hypoallergenic types of facial wash. But if you are not sure what to use, ask your dermatologist.
  •  If you have a dry skin, a facial cleanser with moisturizer is recommended, as it will lessen the dryness of the skin.
  •  If your problem is acne, a facial scrub will help you deal with the zits. A facial scrub can be used twice a week.
  •  A skin toner can also be used after washing the face. A gentle skin toner is recommended especially those who have acne and large pores.
  • A night moisturizer can also do the trick, but this is only advisable with those people who have dry skin.
  •  For all types of skin, do not forget the use of sunscreen. A sunscreen with SPF 15 to 30 will provide skin protection.

Finally, live a healthy lifestyle, and eat foods rich with antioxidants, as this will be a good antidote for all types of skin problems.
