7 Natural Remedies to Dandruff



Dandruff can be unsightly whether it affects men or women. To avoid wrecking your golden tresses, here are some natural remedies to dandruff:

1. Coconut oil
Coconut oil is the best natural remedy for dandruff. Use the unrefined coconut oil and massage it to scalp for about 1 to 2 hours. It will aid in reducing dryness and in normalizing the scalp.

2.  Use Shampoo with Tea Tree Oil
You may also use shampoo with tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is known to have antiseptic and anti fungal agents which may be able to fight fungi that causes dandruff. 

3. Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil is known to moisturize the hair and scalp. It works naturally, so there will be no build up of oiliness in the scalp. Those who have dry or oily scalp can both use jojoba oil as it can balance the proper PH of the scalp and unclogged hair debris.

4.  Get enough sunshine
Studies show that dandruff dramatically ceases during the summer and this is due to exposure to sun. Occasional exposure to sun may be good for those who have dandruff, however, do not sunbathe and always wear sunscreen protection.

5. Limit use of chemicals
Chemicals found in hair sprays, gels and other hair products is one of the culprits of dandruff as they can cause severe oiliness to the scalp. Lessening or avoiding the use of these products will be good for your hair and scalp.

6. Eat a balanced diet
Eating a balanced diet is needed in order to reduce dandruff. A diet, which is rich in vitamin B, zinc and other types of nutrients, may be important to prevent formation of dandruff.

7. Manage stress well
One reason why dandruff is hard to manage is because it is related to stress. If you have severe dandruff, your body might be sending you message that it is already under too much stressed and your dandruff may be even getting worse if you do not address your stress well.

Use stress-relaxing techniques like yoga and breathing exercises to help you manage your stress thus, reducing your dandruff as well.
